David Parkinson
Co-Founder & CEO

With more than two decades as a top-level public relations executive, David has led PR strategy for some of the most prominent and influential individuals and organizations. He is primarily focused on strategic oversight for the agency and key client relationships and accounts. Before launching Method in 2010, David served for eight years as the vice president of communications for the billionaire Sorenson family and their 30-plus companies. Under David’s strategic leadership, Method has grown into one of the most sought-after, award-winning agencies, supporting clients that range from growth-stage tech disruptors to global, publicly traded enterprises. David was a fitness buff — before his twins were born in 2017. He now exercises his patience.
Jacob Moon
Co-Founder & Mountain/Central General Manager

Jake leads the Mountain/Central region from our Salt Lake City office, with a focus on business and employee development. He has advised some of the most influential business leaders and philanthropists in the country and serves as a strategic advisor to clients from enterprise to consumer tech. He’s actively involved in key accounts, maintaining strong relationships with prominent players in the “Silicon Slopes” business community. A former journalist and editor of Utah’s leading business magazine, Jake is on a personal mission to visit every national park in the U.S. with his family.
Katy Spaulding
Chief Operating Officer

As an agency veteran with 17+ years of integrated communications experience, Katy has worked with challenger brands from startups to Fortune 500 companies. She brings a proven track record of scaling mid-sized agencies, with more than a decade in senior operations roles, including as a regional general manager and global chief of staff. Katy leverages her innate curiosity to drive strategic growth and operational excellence, with a focus on enhancing employee experience and developing high-performance teams. She is an enthusiastic equestrian, amateur historian, average golfer and aspiring novelist, as well as a board member for the U.S. Center for SafeSport.
Matt Stewart
West Coast General Manager

Matt leads the West Coast region, including our San Francisco office, with a focus on business development and culture. A proud deeptech nerd, Matt also runs our frontier tech practice, with deep experience spanning enterprise (Salesforce, Freshworks), venture (Lightspeed, Toyota’s Woven Capital), climatetech (National Grid Partners, GlassPoint), biotech (Absci, Enveda) and startups (Socure, Exotec). Matt has been named a PRovoke Innovator 25, an award for top communicators, and he made global headlines for releasing a novel on Twitter — and winning a book deal.
Heather England
Strategic Advisor

Heather is a creative and results-focused executive with more than 18 years of leadership experience in managing growth and profitability via talent strategy, executive coaching, internal communications, employee experience optimization, compliance, and financial planning/oversight. The former COO of Method, she now advises the agency on business strategy and operations. Heather enjoys spending time with her five dogs on and off the trail. She also loves her work with shelter dogs when volunteering at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter.
Analisa Schelle
EVP – Enterprise Technology

With 20+ years leading global communications campaigns, Analisa has worked with established companies and successful startups across every industry imaginable — from enterprise software and fintech to aerospace and biotech. As a Method boomerang, she returned after three years leading an international communications team in-house. Analisa is passionate about storytelling, brand building, and being at the center of technology and innovation with interesting people and companies. She is a proud San Francisco parent and loves tagging along with her husband and daughter on adventures around the city.
Clay Blackham
EVP – Consumer Technology

Clay heads up Method’s consumer tech program, with clients that have included Traeger Grills, Vivint, Goal Zero, Orbit B-hyve, Dreame and others. With 20+ years of diverse experience leading high-growth PR accounts, driving company and product launches, executive communications and elevating profiles, Clay has a knack for telling the larger company story while still getting under the hood and understanding the intricacies of a product or technology. Clay is an accomplished doughnut maker and meat smoker with a healthy obsession for Oreos and other treats.
Katy Kenealy
EVP – Enterprise Technology

Katy joined Method 13+ years ago, and has since led clients across a range of industries from enterprise to consumer tech. In 2020, she was recognized as one of PRovoke’s Innovator 25, which highlights those who reshape the marketing and communications world. She has also been named one of Business Insider’s Top Tech PR Pros. Katy leads Method’s Media Watch committee, has been heavily involved in the agency’s pro-bono efforts, and has supported multiple clients through their public debuts. She is an aspiring SF restaurant critic — especially if the job includes pasta and wine.
Tim Race
EVP – Narrative & Thought Leadership Specialist Group

As a former New York Times technology and business editor in New York, Paris and London, Tim applies the techniques of journalism to help companies tell their stories in media-worthy ways. He also brings eight years of experience in strategic corporate communications, including in-house content creation for IBM. Since Tim joined Method in 2021, his content team’s work has won two SABRE awards and been named a finalist in the other two years. Tim coined the term “digerati” in a 1992 New York Times article.
Dave Heffernan
EVP – Cybersecurity

With 15+ years of PR experience specializing in cybersecurity and enterprise tech, Dave has led numerous PR programs for established public companies as well as high-growth startups that have evolved into industry-defining brands. He leads Method’s cyber PR team and is constantly thinking about how to connect clients to trending news. Dave is passionate about Boston sports and loves spending as much time as possible with his daughters, wife and dog Wally.
Mikey Collard
EVP – Earned & New Media Specialist Group

Mikey is an award-winning public relations specialist with 15+ years of tech, entertainment, consumer and corporate PR experience. With an impressive background in securing top-tier coverage for high-profile clients across a diverse array of PR verticals, he leads Method’s Earned & New Media Specialist Group. Past and current clients include Salesforce, Meta, Samsung, Deel, Guild, SurveyMonkey, Credit Karma, Affirm and many others. In his free time, he likes to play bass guitar (in rock bands), run and hang out with his three kids.
Dan Sorensen
EVP – Enterprise Technology

With 15+ years of experience building and executing communications programs in enterprise and emerging tech, Dan brings a passion for storytelling around transformational technologies. He has guided three companies through their public debuts, including Method’s first IPO client. Dan returned to Method after seven years in-house at two different companies. He is a backyard beekeeper and outdoor enthusiast.
Owen Clark
Executive Vice President, AEO

Owen Clark leads Method’s AEO/GEO and Integrated Content Specialist Group, helping brands earn visibility in AI-driven search through cross-platform storytelling. For nearly two decades, Owen’s career has centered on telling great stories across emerging platforms. He has built an award-winning content production studio, trained hundreds of brand executives in media and presentation skills, and led earned media efforts for Fortune 500 and challenger brand clients. He began his career as a reporter and photographer for an NBC affiliate in Northern California. Outside of work, he is a dad to three girls and an obsessive sports fan.
Laura Ruark
SVP – Enterprise Technology

Laura is a comms and marketing pro with 13+ years of experience in the tech industry, leading programs for startups coming out of stealth, as well as some of the largest publicly listed companies focused on cloud, AI, future of work and more. She is a strategic problem-solver and deeply integrated partner who happily rolls up her sleeves to support any challenge. Laura is an expert in media strategy, thought leadership and creative campaigns to support clients in transforming their comms strategy and increasing awareness. She is a passionate Philly sports fan (go birds & phils!), National Park explorer and a proud dog mom to two beach-loving rescues, Carson and Rosie.
Chelsea Corona
SVP – Venture Capital and Early Stage Startups

Chelsea brings more than 12 years of experience in technology PR and has worked with a variety of clients in both the B2B and B2C spaces, ranging in size from early-stage startups to large public companies. She leads Method’s venture capital team, working to build thought leadership for key investors and raise profiles of portfolio companies, especially those at the forefront of AI development. Chelsea is a former collegiate gymnast, current football fanatic, aspiring mixologist and Lego master.
Sarah Riley
SVP – Head of New York Office

Sarah is a communications leader with deep expertise guiding enterprise tech companies through critical growth stages — from stealth launches to successful exits — specializing in HR tech, workplace, cybersecurity and other emerging technologies. She founded Method’s NYC office in 2019 and has continually expanded it, serving as a strategic bridge between sister agencies, cross-functional teams and regional offices. She has a cat named Tony Hawk, she was once brought on stage with her favorite rapper (Atmosphere!), and she’ll go plate-for-plate at dim sum any day of the week.
Ibby Hussain
SVP – Fintech

Ibby is an award-winning storyteller and communications strategist specializing in fintech and financial services. He brings simplicity and creativity to CCO and CMO challenges, shaping compelling narratives around complex offerings, regulations, and niche audiences. He has led integrated communications and marketing campaigns for innovative firms including Bloomberg, Investopedia, Grayscale and VanEck. Passionate about financial news, he keeps up with Matt Levine’s Money Stuff, Josh Brown’s Compound and Friends, and Axios Pro Rata.
Victoria Butler
SVP

Victoria brings nearly two decades of experience as a strategic communications leader for high-growth businesses. With extensive expertise in enterprise storytelling — from workplace tech to B2B infrastructure and AI — Victoria is passionate about bridging the gap between complex technologies and how those innovations change the way we live and work. Victoria spends whatever spare time she has between work, parenting and reading (she’s on track for 100 novels this year!) to explore the outdoors and hunt for the best almond croissant.
Paul Day
SVP

Known for driving high-impact results in competitive markets, Paul brings two decades of expertise in communications and multi-stakeholder management, spanning politics, academia and technology. He has supported communications strategies for venture capital firms including Lightspeed, Gradient and G Squared, as well as major brands like Google and Informatica. Beyond his professional work, Paul serves on several nonprofit boards and was honored with the SF Human Rights Commission Award for advocacy and community leadership.
Lexie Gunther
SVP – Cybersecurity

With nearly a decade of dedicated cybersecurity and B2B tech PR experience, Lexie has led results-driven programs for a range of organizations from early-stage startups to publicly traded companies and counseled executives, former government officials and threat research analysts on external communications and thought leadership. She helps lead Method’s cybersecurity practice and excels at translating complex technical topics into media-worthy narratives. Lexie enjoys learning the incredibly frustrating game of golf with her husband and loves trying her hand at new recipes.
Joshua Lefkowitz
SVP

Josh has 20+ years of experience building and executing communications programs for enterprise technology companies – from high-growth startups to global market leaders. He brings deep expertise across nearly every corner of the tech ecosystem, including AI, cybersecurity, DevOps, and SaaS. Josh loves to roll up his sleeves, ideate, and problem-solve to help clients navigate a complex and competitive technology business landscape. Outside of work, Josh is learning to play guitar, sees as much live music as possible, posts overly opinionated movie reviews on Letterboxd, and loves spending time with his wife and two kids.
Lydia Dishman
SVP Content Strategy, Narrative & Thought Leadership

As a veteran journalist and editor, Lydia applies 25 years of experience to help clients tell stories that resonate across earned, owned, and branded content channels. Prior to joining Method, Lydia spent 15 years at Fast Company, most recently as Senior Editor for Growth & Engagement, managing its extensive contributor network of executive thought leaders. As a reporter, Lydia’s coverage appeared in The New York Times, Fortune, The Guardian, and Forbes, and spanned artificial intelligence, commerce, leadership, and the future of work. Lydia got started in journalism at age 9, reporting on the International Toy Fair for a local instructional television network.
McKenzie Terry
SVP – Media Relations

With 13 years of PR experience, McKenzie is known for turning the impossible into compelling stories and has earned a reputation for tenacity in securing high-impact media coverage. As a strategic media partner to Method’s clients, she delivers results across the board, from national broadcast segments to complex enterprise product launches, excelling under pressure while keeping her clients’ priorities front and center. McKenzie is actively involved in hosting a dozen media mingles a year with top-tier journalists for the agency, strengthening relationships that drive coverage opportunities. A mother of two, McKenzie spends her free time exploring beaches throughout the year, a passion that inspired her family’s move to southern Alabama.
Lexy King
SVP- Corporate Communications

Lexy leads Method’s Corporate Communications practice, serving as a strategic advisor to global enterprises and high-growth startups navigating complex reputational challenges and market transitions. Drawing on her tenure at two of the largest global PR firms, she has worked with clients across a range of verticals, from enterprise software and AI to logistics and hospitality. Her expertise lies in steering brands through high-stakes milestones such as company launches, rebrands, executive transitions, M&As, and capital markets activity. Outside of work, you’ll find Lexy giving her full 90 at Sounders and Reign soccer matches, enjoying a flight at a local brewery, or exploring the Pacific Northwest trails with her husband, son, and Bernedoodle.
Cara Masessa
SVP

With over a decade of dedicated cyber, enterprise, and federal tech PR experience, Cara is a senior member of the Method team who has scaled results-driven programs for companies ranging from early-stage startups to publicly traded enterprises. An out-of-the-box strategist, she thrives on uncovering the “so what” of deeptech narratives and excels at helping executives find their voice—from former government officials to threat researchers. Outside the office, she is a new mother who will go anywhere for live music and keeps busy planning trips and experimenting with new recipes.
Kenneth Madigan
SVP – Marketing

Kenneth leads marketing strategy and account management across digital, social, creative and content disciplines. He is a strategic marketing leader with 20+ years of experience helping complex financial services and B2B organizations articulate their value proposition to connect with decision-makers across multi-stage buying journeys. When not developing strategic marketing frameworks, Kenneth can be found training and competing in Brazilian Ju Jitsu or planning his next trip out of the country.
Svetlana Gershman
SVP – Market Research

Svetlana leads the integrated marketing research team, expanding insights and analytics to guide strategic communication, competitive positioning and growth-driving campaigns. With over 20 years of experience, she turns ambiguous business questions into actionable intelligence using surveys, qualitative research and data analytics. She is Programs Director for the Puget Sound Research Forum and serves on Seattle University’s Marketing Advisory Board. A technology enthusiast and outdoor adventurer, she loves music and is a proud groupie-turned-mom to three young aspiring rock stars.
Amber Rawle
SVP – Finance

As a financial professional with 20+ years of experience managing finances for SaaS and Tech companies, Amber has overseen Method’s financial operations since its founding. She leverages curiosity and the power of numbers to drive strategic growth and business success, focusing on enhancing the employee experience. Amber is committed to strengthening Method’s culture and making it a great workplace. She loves her grandkids, reading great books, visiting Major League Baseball stadiums and never saying no to a good chocolate chip cookie.
Melodie Quinn
VP – Operations

As an operations professional with 11+ years experience in Human Resources and Operations, Melodie’s career spans across the Hospitality and Public Relations industries. She brings expertise in employee development and performance, legal compliance and benefits & compensation. Melodie is passionate about creating a collaborative and productive culture where employees can be authentic and do their best work. She is a proud mom to a beautiful daughter, an animal lover with a houseful of pets and loves music and travel.
