Big Get Together, Bigger Insights

Stories are kind of our thing.

Method Communications

As a PR and marketing agency, stories are kind of our thing.

So with National Tell A Story Day right around the corner, we’re celebrating some of our favorites from our executive roster of storytellers.

Every year, Method and our sister agencies within VCCP meet up in London to share ideas, advice and inspiration among our peers across the globe. We call it our Big Get Together and every year, leaders from each agency give Ted-style talks to share knowledge with one another and the next generation of talent.

Two of Method’s executives have led talks, driven by their experience and expertise in public relations and journalism.

And, because we’re part of a global collective that spans numerous time zones, we recorded it, so folks could tune in at an hour that makes sense for them.

Happy watching!

Just Say Yes

Analisa Schelle, EVP of Public Relations

In this talk, Analisa shares the stories and lessons that took her from “never working at an agency again” to deeply loving the agency life, after returning to Method following several years working in-house.

The secret: it’s all about finding joy in learning something new, being a person that people want on their teams, and most importantly, saying yes.

How To Build Your Own Story

Tim Race, EVP of Narrative and Thought Leadership

Tim draws from his years at The New York Times to lay out the key principles of building a story that journalists will want to cover.

Among them: 1) Establish a headline thought. 2) Interview thought leaders to bring their expertise and insights to bear on a timely topic. 3) Recognize that owned coverage can inform and drive earned coverage.
