WORKPLACE
PARADIGM SHIFT
How we ushered in the AI workplace boom with contact center innovator Cresta.
The challenge
In an era where AI dominates headlines across both tech and mainstream media, it is increasingly difficult to break through. The media landscape has become oversaturated with lookalike AI startup stories. And even for those at the cutting edge of their industry, it can be easy to get lost.
Cresta was one of the first to realize the vast potential for AI in the contact center and customer service industry — where complex data streams and customer logistics networks converge on a massive scale.
The company had a groundbreaking solution that would make contact centers more efficient, more effective and less costly. The problem: The media was already aflame with AI stories — with giants like OpenAI taking up the bulk of the coverage and leaving little for the rest of the AI space.

The solution
Leveraging our deep expertise in tech media and relationships at key mainstream and industry publications, we made Cresta a go-to resource for journalists talking about AI and the contact center industry.
The CMO at the time, Scott Kolman, made waves with thought-provoking bylines in Forbes, including “Three Ways To Shift Public Perception Around Contact Centers,” and “Four Ways AI Companies Can Rise Above The Noise.”
Then CEO Zayd Enam connected with business-minded listeners on the a16z Podcast, with fresh takes on how CEOs could better embed AI into their business. We carried this momentum into further coverage by amplifying company news, funding-round updates and product announcements, driving long-term brand awareness within the industry and beyond.
The impact
Placements in The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Forbes and Fortune quickly established Cresta as a key player in the burgeoning AI workplace boom. The New York Times featured Cresta as a key innovator in an article on AI’s potential to increase productivity. And CEO Ping Wu offered his insights live on the CNBC broadcast, AI Impact.
In 2024, Cresta earned placement on the Forbes AI 50 List, was named a winner in Business Intelligence Group’s Artificial Intelligence Excellence Awards program and the CX Awards, and achieved 90+ article placements. By maintaining a steady drum beat of positive coverage in major media outlets and business publications, we elevated Cresta’s reputation from scrappy startup to the innovative AI solution enterprise partners trust.
